Healing & Skin Purification ~ The shortest of the infrared wavelengths, near-infrared will be absorbed just below the surface of the skin; naturally ridding your body of toxins and activating those anti-inflammatories to promote healthy, healing, and rejuvenating skin.
Muscle Recovery & Circulation ~ This wavelength penetrates deeper into the body’s soft tissue to increase circulation and blood flow. When used regularly, mid-infrared can also alleviate joint pain and improve muscle recovery.
The three infrared wavelengths can be programmed independently which means we can fully customise your session to align with your desired wellness outcome – whether that be weight loss, pain relief or simply relaxation. Add in your choice of chromotherapy lighting and you have a sauna session designed just for you.
Infrared saunas provide a soothing heat that promotes relaxation and can help restore sleeping patterns as well as improve the quality of your sleep.
Turn on the blue chromotherapy light for extra sleep-enhancing properties.
Infrared saunas produce a deep sweat, which makes the heart pump faster, increases blood flow and improves circulation. Studies have shown that regular sauna use can even lower blood pressure.
Infrared saunas increase production of the happy hormones; dopamine, oxytocin and serotonin and decrease levels of the stress hormone cortisol. They also allow you to take a little time out for yourself and emerge feeling refreshed and rejuvenated!
The deep infrared heat stimulates circulation, bringing oxygen to tissues, muscles and joints and relieving aches and pains.
The increase in blood circulation can also assist with muscle repair and help with the reduction of lactic acid.
Infrared sauna heat increases blood flow and initiates sweating, which helps to release toxins which have built up throughout the body. Regular infrared sauna use can assist you in detoxifying your body from heavy metals (lead, mercury, nickel, cadmium) as well as alcohol, nicotine and other harmful chemicals.
Infrared is the most effective wavelength for healing the skin. It has been shown to relieve acne, eczema, psoriasis, burns and cuts. It also supports the body in healing wounds quickly, and as a result reduces scarring.
An infrared sauna session raises your core body temperature, inducing an artificial “fever” which, although often misunderstood, is the body’s natural mechanism to strengthen and accelerate the immune response. This immune boosting effect, combined with the elimination of toxins via sweating, increases your overall health and resistance to disease.
Promotes weight loss by increasing your core body temperature, detoxifying the body, and burning calories while you relax in total comfort.
Infrared sauna therapy helps you relax while receiving an invigorating deep-tissue-sweat, leaving you fully refreshed after each session. As the body works to cool itself, there is a substantial increase in heart rate, cardiac output and metabolic rate which provides a passive cardio workout causing the body to burn more calories.
We provide you with the ultimate wellness boost.
Your infrared sauna session also comes with medical grade chromotherapy lighting treatment, ensuring that your sauna experience is both relaxing and productive.
What is Chromotherapy?
Chromotherapy or colour light therapy is a method of treatment that uses the visible wavelengths of the colour light spectrum to treat the mind and body. There is growing evidence that Chromotherapy can play a pivotal role in the treatment of reducing stress and anxiety, depression, and other mood disorders or imbalances. Colour light therapy relies on the premise that each colour is associated with a different bodily response.
Chromotherapy offers a wide range of health benefits.
In terms of physiological effects, chromotherapy delivers a much-needed energy boost when you’re feeling low.
Warm colours have a motivating effect on the human body and can stimulate both mood and appetite.
As for psychological benefits, colour treatment can alleviate depression and anxiety, drastically improve mood, and provide cognitive enchantment.
Using light to stimulate our endocrine systems naturally regulates hormonal imbalances, stabilises mood changes, and alleviates sleep disturbances.
Infrared Sauna After-Session Care
As you would be well aware by now, you sweat A LOT using an Infrared Sauna! It’s important to replace the fluids and electrolytes your body has expelled during the session. You can do this by drinking water, an electrolyte drink or natural fruit juices.
A Note on Hydration:
Remember, at the root of all sauna therapy is our body’s desire to release (sweat) heal (detoxify) and renew (recharge for the day ahead). Hydration post-sauna is imperative.
Directly after your session, your body will continue to sweat for up to 30 minutes! We recommend holding off from showering during this time to get the full benefits the Infrared Sauna offers. After your sauna we recommend simply wiping off your sweat with a towel and dressing in loose comfortable clothing.
Infrared Sauna FAQs
Traditional saunas raise the temperature of the air to a very high level within the chamber to warm the body. When you are sitting in a traditional sauna, you are sitting in a hot room; 80°C -105°C degrees. Some people have difficulty breathing in this extremely warm air.
Far infrared saunas work differently. Instead of heating the air within the enclosure, it heats the body directly.
In the Clearlight Far Infrared Sauna only about 20% of the heat goes to heat the air and the other 80% directly heats your body. The result is deeper tissue penetration. The radiant heat can penetrate deep below the skin producing a gentle warming inside the body. The warming effect on your body stimulates your cardiovascular system, your immune system, and your lymphatic system. Your body’s response to that is to sweat. In the far infrared sauna, the body perspires and receives all of the health benefits but avoids the harmful and extremely hot air of a traditional steam sauna.
Infrared saunas leave you feeling invigorated, not depleted like conventional saunas.
Far Infrared Heat therapy uses the wavelength of the visible and non-visible light spectrum of sunlight that heats the body normally. Far infrared waves penetrate deep into our body for a deep heating action. This penetrating heat gently raises the body’s core temperature and allows the body to detox naturally via the process of sweat, through the largest organ of the body – the skin. In addition, on a cellular level, the body feels the same elevated circulation, warmth, and energy that is usually felt only from exercise.
Sweating is the body’s safe and natural way to detox. The Infrared sauna increases your blood circulation and stimulates the sweat glands, helping to remove toxins in the body. It creates healthier cells by delivering more oxygen and nutrients to the skin leaving your skin with a fresh glow and it helps build a stronger immune system. As the heat reaches your muscles, joints, and tissues, you will feel your body relax as your muscles loosen.
Some of the benefits of infrared sauna therapy include Detoxification; Improved skin tone; Improved digestion; Support with skin conditions such as acne, eczema and dermatitis; Muscle recovery; Enhanced circulation and inflammatory control; Improved energy and mood, Weight loss; Immune boosting, Stress and Anxiety relief.
Infrared saunas heat the body, not the air. The temperature setting will depend on your goals, this could be anywhere between 40-65 degrees.
The temperature inside the sauna is not to be confused with your body temperature or the quality of your sauna session, so try not to fixate on the temperature the sauna reads.
Please follow your doctor’s instructions if they recommend using a lower temperature (which may still be beneficial).
This is very individual. If you are a healthy person, you could do this every day. But on average 3-4 times a week. However, if you are wanting to incorporate this into your wellness routine, then you would benefit from a weekly session.
It’s a great form of active recovery; without having to really move much at all, you can still feel like you’re doing something for your health. When muscles relax and are warm, you get greater flexibility and range. Muscles have the ability to recover faster, decrease inflammation and relieve tension, aches, and pain. Other benefits include detoxification, reduction of muscle tension, relaxation, improved circulation, weight loss, skin purification and boosting of the immune system.
Less is more! We recommend swimwear just remember to sit on the towel at all times.
Although we do offer a shower this is not recommended. To get the most out of each session we recommend waiting at least 30min before taking a cool shower.
Yes, of course. There is room for you and two friends in our sauna, just add your friends to the booking and pay the additional booking fee.
They say boredom is just a state of mind. How you choose to occupy your mind during the session is up to you.

Or you could bring a book to read.
